Viewmodel Animation Practice

I like viewmodel animations and I gotta get some practice in

M16 Animations

An Unreal Engine Marketplace free for the month package had a rigged M16 and AK74. Sensing the possibilites, I tried my hand at animating the modern musket, the M16.

I’ve rendered what I have so far and added some sounds. I’d like to add several reload variations, put more polish into what’s already here, add some aim-down-sight animations, and add effects.

I’ll probably just re-do the whole set with what I’ve learned from making the Mass Effect Weapon animations.

Blocking pass on the same gun with a slightly updated rig.

I wanted to make an animation using the bolt release on the gun. There’s more to do, but I have the general timing and blocking keyed out.
