iAnimate.net Games Workshop 1 Showcase

Animation showcase for the iAnimate Games Animation Workshop 1 in the summer of 2021.

I took this 11 week course in the summer of 2021 under the instruction of Brett Pascal. It was a fantastic class with some great classmates. We had to create a run cycle animation, a jump, and an attack animation. I took the opportunity to try and render the animation using Unreal Engine 4 as a way to sure up my knowledge of the games pipeline. Using UE4 also let me learn how to use the sequencer.

The Lisa and Legion rigs are from iAnimate.net.

Motion Capture Workshop

Walk cycle creation from edited motion capture data with an added prop

I also learned about MotionBuilder and the motion capture workflow in iAnimate’s Motion Capture Workshop. Over Brett George’s course, I learned how to navigate MotionBuilder’s interface, pose and key characters, import motion data, edit and cut motion across multiple clips, and grab key poses from noisy data.

I have since used concepts learned from this course in working with motion capture data in Maya and Blender for other projects and companies.
